Gangs are player teams that level up together. A gang unlocks perks for every member as it levels, earns points from PvP, outposts, KoTH and gang events, and competes on weekly and monthly leaderboards for rewards.

Creating and Joining a Gang

Starting a gang costs $100,000. Gang names can be up to 8 characters long. Whoever creates the gang becomes its leader.

To get players into your gang, the leader invites them with /gang invite [player], and they accept with /gang join [gang]. If the leader turns on auto-accept with /gang settings autoaccept, anyone can join with /gang join without needing an invite.

Members can leave whenever they want with /gang leave. The leader can’t leave their own gang. If the leader wants out, they have to disband the gang with /gang disband and then confirm with /gang disband confirm within 10 seconds. Disbanding deletes the gang for everyone.

Commands

  • /gang create [name]: Create a gang for $100,000
  • /gang invite [player]: Invite a player (leader only)
  • /gang join [gang]: Join a gang that invited you, or any gang with auto-accept on
  • /gang leave: Leave your gang
  • /gang kick [player]: Kick a member (leader only)
  • /gang info [gang]: View a gang’s leader, members, level, points, kills, deaths, K/D, KoTH wins and outpost captures
  • /gang settings autoaccept: Turn auto-accept on or off (leader only)
  • /gang upgrade: Open the gang level and perk menu
  • /gang rebirth: Rebirth your gang at max level (leader only)
  • /gang quests: View your gang’s quests and progress
  • /gang top [points/kills/koth/captures] [week/month/all]: Gang leaderboards
  • /gang market: Open the Black Market (needs the Black Market perk)
  • /gang area: Teleport to the gang area (needs the Gang Area perk)
  • /gang disband: Disband your gang (leader only)

Only the leader can invite, kick, upgrade, rebirth and change settings.

Friendly Fire

You can’t hurt members of your own gang, with melee or with bows. Players from other gangs can be attacked as normal in PvP zones.

Gang Levels

Gangs level up with money. The leader opens /gang upgrade, where every level shows its cost, its new member limit and the perk it unlocks. Each level raises how many members your gang can have, and some levels unlock a perk that every member gets.

Once your gang reaches the max level, the leader can rebirth it with /gang rebirth. A gang can only rebirth once.

Gang Perks

Perks unlock as your gang levels up. Every member gets the perk as soon as it’s unlocked.

  • Bonus EXP: +15% Minecraft XP from every source
  • Ward Haste: While mining, you have a chance to get Haste III for 5 seconds. It can only trigger once every 5 minutes.
  • Mine-To-Bank: When you mine a supported block, there’s a 1% chance its sell value goes straight into your balance instead of dropping
  • Prestige Rebate: You get 3% of your prestige cost back every time you prestige, plus permanent Resistance I
  • Crate Share: When someone in your gang captures KoTH, every other online member has a 2.5% chance to get a crate reward too
  • Money Bounty: +$25,000 every time you claim a server bounty
  • Gang Area: Unlocks /gang area, a private area only gangs with this perk can enter. The gang pond inside has its own fishing loot.
  • Black Market: Unlocks /gang market, where you can buy and sell special items. Anything you buy there counts as contraband.
  • Laundering: Your gang keeps its contraband during cell searches

Cell Searches

Guards randomly search the prison. Every 45 minutes there’s a 30% chance a search happens. When it does, any contraband from the Black Market in your inventory gets taken. Gangs with the Laundering perk are protected and keep their contraband.

Gang Points and Leaderboards

Gangs earn points for the gang leaderboards:

  • Killing a player from another gang in a PvP zone: 2
  • Capturing an outpost: 10
  • Capturing KoTH: 15
  • Winning a gang event: 25
  • Completing a gang quest: Shown in /gang quests

A kill on the same player only counts for points once every 24 hours, so farming one player won’t work.

There’s a weekly leaderboard that resets every Monday and a monthly leaderboard that resets at the start of every month. When a leaderboard resets, the top 10 gangs get rewards sent to every member. Check the boards with /gang top. You can also sort them by kills, KoTH wins or outpost captures, and switch between weekly, monthly and all-time.

Gang Quests

Gang quests rotate automatically, with daily and weekly quests. Every member’s progress counts towards the gang’s total, so the whole gang works on them together. Quests can ask your gang to:

  • Kill players from other gangs
  • Mine blocks
  • Capture outposts
  • Win gang events
  • Capture KoTH

Check your active quests and progress with /gang quests.

Outposts

Outposts are capture points in the PvP area. While your gang holds an outpost, every member gets that outpost’s potion effect.

To capture one, stand inside it with only your gang in the zone for 60 seconds. If a player from another gang walks in, the capture pauses until only one gang is left inside. When your gang’s outpost is being captured, every online member gets a warning with its location so you can go defend it. Each capture is worth 10 gang points.

Gang Events

If no gang event is running, a random one starts every 30 minutes. When an event pays money “split between members”, it’s divided evenly between every member of the gang, online or offline. In every event, killing the same player again within 90 seconds gives no score and no reward.

Gang War

Two random gangs with players online are picked to fight each other for 5 minutes. Every kill pays the killer $50,000 straight away. When the time is up, the gang with the most kills wins its kills x $50,000 plus a $500,000 bonus, split between its members. If it’s a draw, there’s no bonus.

Supply Drop

A supply crate is announced and lands 30 seconds later at a location shown on the bossbar. Gangs then have 2 minutes to fight over it. To claim it, hold the zone around the crate (10 block radius) with only your gang inside for 30 seconds. The gang that claims it splits $1,000,000 between its members. If nobody claims it before time runs out, the crate disappears.

Gang Bounty

A random gang leader gets a bounty on their head for 5 minutes. If no leader is online, a random gang member is picked instead. The gang that kills the target splits $2,000,000. If the target survives all 5 minutes, their own gang splits $500,000. You can’t claim the bounty on someone from your own gang.

Prison Riot

All gang PvP is on for 3 minutes. Every kill on a player from another gang pays the killer $30,000 straight away. When the riot ends, the gang with the most kills splits a $500,000 bonus.

Gang Duels

Gangs can fight each other in organised team duels from 2v2 up to 5v5. See Duels.
